Vanessa Negron Cohn

Ms. Cohn is a partner in the Tampa office of Arnstein & Lehr. Her practice is dedicated to transactional commercial real estate, business organizations and representation of lenders and other creditors.
In the area of transactional real estate law, Ms. Cohn counsels clients on a variety of issues including real estate financing, acquisitions, development, sales and leases.
Ms. Cohn represents lenders in many aspects of their businesses, from restructuring of loan portfolios, to the documentation of individual loans, the workout of defaulted loans, enforcement of loan documents, including foreclosures, landlord-tenant matters and the sale of assets.
In the area of business law, Ms. Cohn represents clients in the selection, creation, operation and transfer of business organizations and assets. She counsels clients in the areas of business operation governance, asset dispositions and other legal issues. She works closely with members of the firm’s tax practice group to help ensure optimal tax results for both domestic and foreign clients.
Professional Activities and Achievements
Ms. Cohn is a member of the board of directors of the Weinberg Village. The Weinberg Village is an assisted living facility owned by the Tampa Jewish Federation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, committed to operating a residence that enriches seniors’ quality of life.
Ms. Cohn is a member of The Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee. The Professional Ethics Committee is charged with the duty of addressing ethics inquiries involving the conduct of members of The Florida Bar.
Ms. Cohn is a former member of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority; she was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles. She is also the current Vice Chair of the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation committed to assisting disadvantaged Hispanic owned businesses.
Ms. Cohn is treasurer of the Georgetown University Alumni Club – West Coast of Florida (2011 – present).
Personal Information
Ms. Cohn is fluent in Spanish. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is married to Ronald B. Cohn. She has two children, Estevan Alejandro, 16 and Gabriel Miguel, 14.
