Joseph W. Scharnak

Associate

Joseph W. Scharnak is an associate in Arnstein & Lehr’s Condominium & Community Associations Practice Group. His practice focuses on amending condominium declarations, issuing opinions on the interpretation of the Illinois Condominium Property Act, negotiating and drafting bank loans, and negotiating and drafting AIA contracts. Mr. Scharnak also has experience counseling property managers regarding disputes between associations and residential unit owners, plus dispute resolution between associations and commercial unit owners.

Mr. Scharnak gained a background in condominium development law as an associate attorney at the law firm of Brown, Udell, Pomerantz and Delrahim where he was responsible for drafting condominium documents and overseeing the turnover of control of associations from the developer to unit owners.

Professional Activities and Achievements

Mr. Scharnak is a licensed real estate broker and title agent. He is a member Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Scharnak is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and its Condominium Sub-committee.
