Jenifer H. Caracciolo

Ms. Caracciolo is a partner in the Litigation group. She handles a broad range of employment litigation matters, including claims involving breach of restrictive covenant and non-solicitation agreements, sexual harassment, state and federal wage and hour disputes, and a variety of federal and state employment discrimination claims involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She also has extensive experience in commercial and common interest property litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty matters, declaratory judgments, and matters involving various injunctive and equitable remedies. Ms. Caracciolo has experience in all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, handling mediations and pre-trial settlement conferences, jury trials, and the appeal process. She joined the firm in 2003 after graduating from law school and successfully completing the firm’s summer associate program during the summer of 2002.
Professional Activities and Achievements
Ms. Caracciolo has given seminars on various aspects of employment law, including “Lessons to be Learned About Minimizing Exposure and Avoiding Class Actions in the Tidal Wave of Wage and Hour and Overtime Litigation,” and “Illinois Employment Law Update: Roundtable Discussion on Handling Legal Changes–An update on new Illinois Employment Laws focusing on awareness, compliance, and how to implement procedures to keep you one step ahead of changing laws.” She has also co-published various employment law updates discussing the Illinois Victim’s Economic Security and Safety Act, Illinois Whistle Blower Act, Illinois Criminal Identification Act, Illinois Human Rights Act, and the Illinois Family Military Leave Act.
Ms. Caracciolo is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. In her third year, she served as the vice president of the Moot Court Honor Society and worked as a teaching assistant for first year legal writing students. In the spring of 2003, Ms. Caracciolo was the recipient of the CALI Award in Professional Responsibility.
