Colleen A. Chinlund

Partner

Ms. Chinlund is a partner in Arnstein & Lehr’s Chicago office.  Her practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. Ms. Chinlund provides comprehensive counseling to help clients protect, preserve and devise a plan for a tax-efficient distribution of estate assets.  Ms. Chinlund has substantial experience representing a broad range of individuals and institutions in connection with their estate planning and administration needs, as well as business succession planning for family-owned and other closely-held businesses.   A substantial portion of her practice is devoted to administering decedent estates and representing fiduciaries in estate and trust administration and litigation matters.

Professional Activities and Achievements

Ms. Chinlund is a member of the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. She was recently featured in the “Women in the Spotlight” section of the National Association of Professional Women.

Publications and Speaking Engagements

Ms. Chinlund writes and lectures on the subject of wealth transfer planning techniques and probate and trust administration. In 2010 she authored a chapter entitled “Inside the Minds: Trusts and Probate Litigation” in Trusts and Estates Legal Series,  which is published by Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters business.
