Charles W. Pautsch is a partner in Arnstein & Lehr’s Milwaukee office. He is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Prior to joining Arnstein & Lehr, Mr. Pautsch was managing partner of the Milwaukee office of Jackson Lewis LLP. He has concentrated his practice in labor and employment law for over thirty-three years.
Mr. Pautsch has litigated cases in federal and state courts and various federal and state administrative agencies such as NLRB, OSHA, the DOL, the Human Rights Commission and Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development. He has also been lead counsel in over 150 cases in federal courts alone, representing business clients in twenty districts in thirteen states. In addition, Mr. Patusch has successfully handled Rule 23 class actions under Title VII, the ERISA and the ADA and collective class actions under the FLSA and the ADEA. Representative cases have included:

- Carter v. Labor Comm’n Appeals Bd., 153 P.3d 763 (Utah Ct. App. 2006)
Additionally, Mr. Pautsch has negotiated collective bargaining agreements with various private and public sector unions, including the Teamsters, the Food and Commercial Workers, the Machinists, the Service Employees, the AFSCME, the PACE, the Carpenters, the Operating Engineers, the Laborers and the UAW. He has also served as labor counsel to two major multi-billion dollar nationwide healthcare and retail corporations.

Mr. Pautsch has received a number of awards and honors, including being distinguished as a “Leading Illinois Attorney” through Peer Selection, as well as being named in “The International Who’s Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers 2009.”
