Litigation Technology Specialist
Arnstein & Lehr LLP is seeking a Litigation Technology Specialist for its Chicago office. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the IT department in support of litigation practice groups, attorneys and paralegals to support technology needs for all stages of litigation.
- Assisting with and coordinating the production of documents to litigation adversaries, regulatory authorities and other parties.
- Assisting with and coordinating the processing of electronic documents into databases for attorney review.
- Routinely assisting litigation paralegals in meeting project deadlines (e.g. assisting with FTP uploads and downloads and facilitating productions).
- Converting data between various file formats and creating appropriate file directory structures for the management of data.
- Organizing documents from litigation support databases and other electronic media.
- Assisting in creating electronic document productions, supporting the build and maintenance of litigation databases using Breeze, LAW 5.0, Summation, Concordance and other software as necessary.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years experience using LAW 5.0 or similar product to process electronic documents into Summation of Concordance databases.
- A minimum of 2 years experience designing, loading, troubleshooting, and creating document productions from Summation or Concordance databases.
- Some experience with SharePoint 2010 encouraged.
- Familiarity with relational databases like MS Access and MS SQL.
- Familiarity with and be able to demonstrate a strong aptitude for technology, specific technologies with which special ability is important include litigation support tools (e.g., Concordance, IPRO, LAW 5.0); intranets and extranets, imaging, and database applications.
- Experience in a law firm including experience tracking time and allocating time spent to specific client and matter billing.
- A four-year degree is preferred.
