Robert McKenzie talks with media on tax topics
Chicago Partner Robert E. McKenzie has recently been interviewed by the media about various tax issues. On March 11 Bob spoke with Forbes magazine on the increase in levies and liens in 2009 (based on the IRS 2009 Enforcement Results) and the IRS’ efforts to appear more flexible in working with struggling taxpayers. Later that day he discussed tax issues with Andrea Coombes of MarketWatch.
On March 15 he sat down with the Baltimore Sun and discussed the new IRS plan for tax settlements and the inconsistencies between the IRS’ reported flexibility and its enforcement statistics. The upcoming article will examine what taxpayers can do if they’re unable to meet their tax obligations.
