Franklin Zemel to speak at symposium on local government liability under federal law

Fort Lauderdale Partner and Chair of Arnstein & Lehr’s Religious Land Use Practice Group, Franklin Zemel, will speak Friday at the Ninth Annual Richard E. Nelson Symposium Local Government Liability Under Federal Law:  Regulating the Sacred and the Profane.  The annual Symposium explores the potential liability of local government under federal constitutional and statutory law.    Franklin will speak on the topic The Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) as a Model for Judicial Review of Land Use Law.  The Symposium is being held at the University of Florida Hilton Conference Center in Gainesville and is presented by the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
